Stone wall
This is an example of my style of stone walling. The rock is ignatius and local to the area of this private client’s garden.
This ‘snake wall’ is 35 metres long, over 1 m high and 0.5 m thick. It was primarily built to retain the soil of the upper part of the garden for planting but also to provide a stunning visual focus as it snakes around the garden. It is made to look like a dry-stone wall but is in fact cemented for safety. Two sentinel rocks within the wall mark the steps to the sloping upper level.
