Viewing tower
This viewing tower was built from reclaimed Californian redwood and Scottish stone.
Watch towers like these are used to survey the Fetzer Wines vineyards in California. Recreating one for the Chelsea Flower Show, Ben Frey used old reclaimed American redwood for the timber parts. Together we added stone from Scotland for the base and constructed the tower on-site. There was a ladder at the side and a door led to a small room at the base. The tower was moved and rebuilt in Cheshire after the show.
